Pokmon Sun and Pokmon Moon

As we celebrate 20 years since the launch of Pokmon Red and Pokmon Green in Japan, the next era of Pokmon games is being announced! Pokmon Sun and Pokmon Moon are coming out for systems in the Nintendo 3DS family in late 2016, with a new world, new Pokmon, and new adventures to discover!

Pokmon Bank

Major updates are planned for Pokmon Bank to work with Pokmon Sun and Pokmon Moon.

Once Pokmon Bank has been updated, you’ll be able to use it to transfer Pokmon you’ve caught in the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokmon Red, Pokmon Blue, and Pokmon Yellow into your copy of Pokmon Sun or Pokmon Moon. Pokmon from Pokmon Omega Ruby, Pokmon Alpha Sapphire, Pokmon X, and Pokmon Y can also be brought into Pokmon Sun and Pokmon Moon in the same way.

You will be able to use your existing Pokmon Bank account to transfer Pokmon from Pokmon Red, Pokmon Blue, and Pokmon Yellow to Pokmon Sun and Pokmon Moon. Due to certain limitations, it is recommended that you install Pokmon Red, Pokmon Blue, and Pokmon Yellow on the same Nintendo 3DS system as Pokmon Bank
